I recently stayed at the Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classiq Shanghai Off Bund, and while I appreciated the trendy design and excellent location, there were notable downsides. The room layout was open, leading to some privacy issues, and I faced challenges with taxi arrangements due to language barriers. Overall, it was a mixed experience. 😕
Rooms
8.0
My room had a stylish design and was quite comfortable, but the wide-open layout combined the bathroom with the living space, which felt awkward. I also encountered a strong smoke smell in my first room, but the staff was quick to assist with a room change.
Service
5.0
The service was hit-or-miss. While the doormen were helpful and friendly, I struggled with the language barrier during check-in and when requesting a taxi, which caused some frustration. Communication regarding hotel amenities was lacking.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Bund and the subway. It made sightseeing very easy! I loved being so close to great food options and popular attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast featured mostly Chinese dishes with a few Western options, but I found the food quite bland and greasy. Overall, I was expecting more variety for the price we paid.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel provided basic facilities like dry cleaning and housekeeping, which were satisfactory. However, the dining options were limited and not included in the room rate, which was disappointing.

My stay at Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classiq Shanghai Off Bund was enjoyable, mainly due to its prime location near the bustling Nanjing pedestrian road. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, but I faced some issues with noise insulation and language barriers with the front desk staff. Overall, it's a great choice for those looking to explore Shanghai without breaking the bank.
Rooms
7.0
The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, but it lacked adequate sound insulation, leading to some disturbed nights due to noise from the street. Unfortunately, there were no ironing facilities, either.
Service
6.0
The staff had limited English skills, which made communication challenging. I had to rely on Google Translate for most requests, including arranging a taxi.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, just a short walk to the Bund and right in the heart of Nanjing Road. Access to the metro was convenient, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
6.0
While I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, the bar and restaurant looked nice. However, the dining options seemed limited, mainly featuring Chinese dishes, but a few western items were available too.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered standard amenities like housekeeping and laundry services, but it lacked basic facilities such as an ironing option in the room.

My stay at Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classiq Shanghai Off Bund was overall very positive, thanks to its excellent location near the Bund and unique room design. The friendly staff and spacious accommodation were highlights, though I did find the bar a bit desolate in the evenings. Still, I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.
Rooms
10.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and had modern interior decor, which I really appreciated. The bathroom facilities were also excellent, making my stay very comfortable.
Service
8.0
I found the staff to be really friendly and able to speak good English. They even helped me make a restaurant reservation, which was a nice touch. However, there was a small hiccup when I requested a taxi to Hongqiao Railway Station, as they didn’t quite understand my request.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Bund and close to People's Square and Nanjing Road East metro stations. I loved being in the heart of the city and having easy access to shopping and local eateries nearby.
Dining
8.0
While breakfast was included in my stay and offered plenty of options, I did notice that dinner options were mostly Chinese food with just a few Western items. I didn't dine at the hotel for dinner, though, since I preferred exploring local food options.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel provided essential services like dry cleaning and housekeeping, but I found the overall facilities to be somewhat limited. I didn't spend much time at the hotel, so this wasn't a major concern for me.

I had a comfortable stay at Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classiq Shanghai Off Bund. The location was fantastic, just a short stroll to the Bund and bustling Nanjing Road. The staff was friendly and even helped me with restaurant reservations. However, I did notice a mild cigarette smell in my room, which was a bit off-putting.
Rooms
8.0
My room was modern, clean, and relatively quiet. The design was nice for the price, although the window overlooked a patio close to other hotel rooms, making privacy an issue. I had to keep the curtains closed most of the time.
Service
6.0
The staff at reception spoke good English and were quite friendly. However, I had a hiccup when trying to arrange a taxi to Hongqiao Railway Station; they seemed a bit confused about my request. Also, there were times when the doorman was not very alert.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is unbeatable, only a few minutes to the Bund and right by Nanjing Road shopping. It made exploring the city super easy. There’s a subway station nearby, too, but I struggled a bit when they didn't arrange a safe taxi to the subway lines.
Dining
8.0
The dining options had a mix of local and Western items, but mostly leaned towards Chinese cuisine. The Moroccan pancakes were a nice touch, and while they weren't included in the rate, I found the food reasonable for the area.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered convenient facilities like dry cleaning and housekeeping. Overall, I found the amenities to be satisfactory for my needs during the stay.

My stay at Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel Classiq Shanghai Off Bund had its highlights, especially the excellent location just minutes from the Bund and nearby subway access. However, the lack of air conditioning and some issues with the service left much to be desired. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I encountered a few setbacks.
Rooms
6.0
The room was not bad in terms of size and design, though I had to keep the curtains closed since it faced another hotel. The bathroom layout felt a bit awkward with no separation from the rest of the room. I did switch rooms due to a smoking odor, but my second room was much better.
Service
6.0
Service at the reception was okay, but I did have issues, like them not understanding my request for a taxi to Hongqiao Railway Station. The doorman seemed out of it, often asleep when I'd return late, which made entering the hotel a bit odd.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, really close to the Bund and the subway station. It made exploring the center of the city super convenient. I also enjoyed the local cafes nearby that served authentic Chinese options.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a strong Chinese influence with only a few Western options available. It was included in the rate, which was nice, but didn't particularly impress me.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered basic facilities like dry cleaning and laundry services, but the restaurant and bar experience could have been much better with the limited menu and slow service.
